Expression of Interest for Preparation of Analytical Report and Expert Workshop on the Links between Circular Economy and Wellbeing Economy in Europe The European Environment Agency (EEA) seeks to contract a service provider to support knowledge development on the links between the concepts of circular economy and wellbeing economy. More specifically, to which extent does accelerating the circular economy in Europe including as analysed in the report Accelerating the circular economy in Europe | European Environment Agencys home page - also mean that we move towards a wellbeing economy in Europe as defined by The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development | OECD, Wellbeing Economy Alliance, Home - Earth4All and other key actors. In doing so, the project aims to identify synergies between wellbeing and circular economy concepts, to map the elements of a wellbeing economy that a circular economy can contribute to and which not, and also how aspects of circular economy could possible be reconsidered to ensure a better link to a wellbeing economy. Linking the R strategies of the circular economy to the P principles and the elements of Dignity Nature; Connection; Fairness; Participation in the wellbeing economy should be core in the report. The contractor will prepare an analytical report of no more than 60 pages in close collaboration with and under guidance of EEA experts; an expert workshop (preferably in Copenhagen or in Brussels) to discuss draft findings; and revise the report following the guidance of the expert workshop. The work is expected to build upon a literature review of available scientific and grey literature, empirical data, cases studies and knowledge on circular economy and wellbeing. To this end, a solid existing knowledge base within the contractor team, and a strong network to enable confirmation of leading experts in Europe to the workshop is required. The EEA expects that the final report and the outcome of the expert workshop is used as a basis to prepare an EEA briefing on the links between circular economy and wellbeing economy, published either on its on own or together will the full report.
