Tenders are invited for Pump Replacement. The project aims to increase access to safe and reliable water services among communies in Zahle Caza, Lebanon, with a focus on improving capacies of the Bekaa Water Establishment (BWE) and enhancing water services for upstream and downstream communies of Jdita. The project includes technical and material capacity strengthening, community engagement, facilitaon of allocaon agreements, and acvaon of the regional water network. SCOPE OF WORK Water and Solar Systems Reconfiguraon Currently, water at the facility is distributed directly from the pumps to the consumers. However, the two exisng pumps have been in operaon for over 10 years, leading to a significant decline in their efficiency. As a result, more energy is required to pump and distribute water, increasing operaonal costs. To address this, we will proceed with replacing Pumps 1 and 2 at the Jdita Water Staon with new, energy-efficient units. Below are the technical specificaons of the replacement pumps: Submersible pumps duty point flow : 93 l/s , head : 100 m (please refer to the aached datasheet of the exisng pumps installed in 2015) 1 PT 100 + control cable for each pump 3 water level electrodes + control cable for each pump 1 piezometer + control cable + vented tube (40 mm PN 16 HDPE pipe) for each pump Please note that pumps depth is approximately 100 m and distance from boreholes to control room is around 20 m. In addion, the electrical cable for Pump 2 will be provided. However, any defects in the exisng risers should be reported during the pump replacement process. The manpower required to replace the cable must be included in the quotaon. Addionally, the unit cost of the risers should be specified, as it will be reflected in the Bill of Quanes (BoQ). All items in the BoQ shall be priced based on the supply and applicaon of the components or works. Following are the technical requirements: 1. Pumps datasheet and brands. 2. Pumps country of origin. 3. Calculaon notes for pumps selecon. 4. Basic pump curves: head pressure proporonal to the flow rate. 5. Head pressure and flow rate. 6. Pump performance. 7. Impeller size and type. 8. Efficiency curve. 9. Rotaonal speed. 10. Clutch specificaons. EXPECTED DELIVERABLES THE QUALIFICATIONS The contractor is to fulfill all requirements of the scope of work, and in case of any discrepancies and/or unexpected circumstances to nofy immediately. The contractor is to provide a fully funconal pumping facility with all properly operang pumps, chlorinaon (SCADA), electrical systems, and cameras. The buildings are to be well-repaired (waterproofing, closing holes). The PV system and generators are to be fully operaonal and in opmal condion, in addion to implemenng a proper shutdown policy. All electrical wiring is to be well-maintained and properly connected, the to-be-installed cables must be correctly and safely wired. All safety hazards are to be dealt with properly (electrical enclosures, cable covering, etc.). All leakages (diesel, water) are to be repaired and made sure to be long-term.
