Request for proposals for Consultancy to Conduct Gender and Safeguarding Analysis to Inform Program Implementation in Burkina Faso. The consultant, specializing in gender and safeguarding, will undertake a comprehensive Gender and Safeguarding Analysis specific to youth employment and entrepreneurship in the agriculture sector in Burkina Faso. The scope of work will include, but not limited, the following tasks: i. Inception Phase: Participate in an inception meeting with AGRA teams to align expectations and timelines. Develop and submit an inception report with methodology, tools, timelines, and stakeholder lists. ii. Country-Specific Gender and Safeguarding Analysis: Conduct comprehensive gender and youth analysis, focusing on roles, access to resources, participation, climate impacts, and barriers/opportunities in the harvest and postharvest stages of agri-food systems with a specific focus on the youth. iii. Conduct gender and youth focused value chain analysis: In the selected crops in the country to identify entry points, bottlenecks, and opportunities for women, men, and youth employment and entrepreneurship. iv. Carry out analysis of key stakeholders, including government ministries, youth organizations, farmer groups, and private sector actors to identify existing programs, influence, and potential contributions youth employment and entrepreneurship in agri food systems. v. Develop a tailored Gender Action Plan (GAP) for country aligned with the countrys implementation objectives. vi. Identify institutional capacity gaps among AGRA Burkina Fasos primary stakeholders to improve their gender and safeguarding responsiveness in program implementation. vii. Submit all required reports including inception report, country assessments, GAP, Value Chain analysis, consolidated summary reports, workshop reports, and presentation decks.
