Notice Is Hereby Given That The Ministry Of Forests Is Contemplating Making A Direct Award Of A Contract To Vivek Srivastava, Phd (The “Supplier”).The High-Level Details Of The Contemplated Contract Are Generally Described Below.The Project Will Scope The Requirements, And Develop A Framework For, A ‘State Of The Forest’ Analytics Platform. This Analytics Platform Is A Component Of A Larger Data Hub And Portal That Will Showcase Progress Toward Forest Management Outcomes, Share Data With The World, And Better Support Bc’S Forest Managers And Decision-Makers. The State Of The Forests Bc Hub And Portal Will Centralize Data And Analytics Related To Forest Ecosystems Such As Forest-Based Resources (E.G. Timber), Old Growth, Carbon Sequestration, Forest Health, Pest Dynamics, Socioeconomic Factors, And Indigenous-Led Forestry Initiatives. By Integrating Spatial Data, Risk Models, And Real-Time Analytics, The State Of The Forests Portal Will Enable Users To Gain A Clearer Understanding Of The Current State And Implications Of Forest Management In Bc. The Intended Outcome Of This Contract Is A Detailed Framework Proposal And Small-Scale Prototype Version Of The A Component Of The Analytics Platform. Overall, This Work Will Develop A Framework That Integrates: 1) Spatial Data Visualization Using Arcgis Tools, 2) Advanced Modeling And Analytics, 3) External Analytical Environments, 4) Automated Etl Pipelines And Real-Time Data Processing. This Work Will Allow For The Identification Of Key It Infrastructure Development, Including Data Engineering, Software Development, And System Integration Needs And Requirements.The Term Of The Contract Is Expected To Be 2-3 Months.The Aggregate Value Of The Contract Is Expected Not To Exceed, Exclusive Of Applicable Taxes $20,000.
