Sd26tih202 - Multiphase Block And Road Development In The Kalum Timber Supply Area . The Proposed Contract Requires The Provision Of Approximately 19,846 Cubic Metres Of Multi-Phase Block And Road Development In The Kalum Tsa – Thunderbird Operating Area In The Skeena Business Area. The Contract Will Require A Range Of Qualified Professionals And Technical Staff Working In Various Conditions Including Isolated Areas. Forest Development Activities Will Include But Are Not Limited To Total Resource Plans, Block Planning, Block/Road Layout, Timber Cruising, Site Plans, Assessments (Blocks, Roads, Bridges, Terrain, Windthrow, Stream, Wildlife, Visuals, Etc.) And Timber Sale Package Preparations. Contract Deliverables Will Be Planned For Completion Throughout The Fiscal Year To Meet The Business Area Quarterly Targets. Projects Will Be Completed Concurrently As Per The Approved Work Progress Plan And Schedules. See The Schedule A Services For Specific Works Required. Be Aware That Bcts Has Made Changes To Its Ems And Sfm Programs To Meet The Updated 2022 Sustainable Forestry Initiative (Sfi) Forest Management Standard. Changes Impacting Bcts Clients Include New Training Requirements (Table 008-1, 008-1A, Tailgate Training, Sfi Awareness Documents, And New Indigenous Rights Awareness Training, As Well As Changes To Training Frequency And A New Continuing Education Component). In Addition, Note Changes To Ems/Sfm Environmental Field Procedures And Incident Reporting Procedures Which Occurred June 1, 2022. Supervisors And Workers Will Need To Be Familiar With These Changes Prior To Commencement Of Operations.
