Summary Details Notice Of Intent To Direct Award Issued:June 23, 2025 File #Phsa 17386 Noi Title:Spinal Endoscopic Mis System Provincial Health Services Authority Notice Is Hereby Given Thatvancouver Coastal Health Authority(The “Health Authority”,Through Their Agent Provincial Health Services Authority (“Phsa”), Intends To Directly Award A Contract To The Following Supplier To Provide Spinal Endoscopic Mis System And Associated Services, Instruments And Consumables Forvancouver General Hospitalfor A Term Of Five Years At An Estimated Value Of $2.2M Over The Term. Mammedical 210 Boul Jean-Leman Qc, Canada J5r 6E6 In Accordance With Applicable Trade Agreements,Phsa, As Agent Forthe Health Authority Has Chosen Not To Proceed With A Competitive Process For The Following Reason. The Goods Or Services Can Be Supplied Only By The Selected Supplier And No Alternative Or Substitute Exists For The Following Reason: Due To An Absence Of Competition For Technical Reasons The Spinal Endoscopic System Is Used To Diagnose And Treat Various Problems Of The Spine. It Involves The Use Of An Endoscope, A Thin Instrument Equipped With A Camera And A Light Source, To Visualize The Inside Of The Spine And Perform Minimally Invasive Surgical Interventions. Mammedical Endoscopy System Treats Medical Conditions Such As Herniated Discs, Spinal Stenosis, Tumors, And Other Spinal Conditions. It Has The Advantage Of Reducing Tissue Trauma, Bleeding, And Postoperative Pain. There Is No Other Canadian Health Canada (Hc) Approved Supplier Of This System.
