Tenders are invited for Lebanon Gas-to-Power Project - Technical Consultant The International Finance Corporation (IFC) has been approached by Government of Lebanon (GoL) to act as lead transaction advisor to assist in structuring and tendering the project. The Project consists of three interrelated components to be delivered through one or more public-private partnership (PPP) transactions (i) the deployment of a Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) to import, store, and regasify liquefied natural gas (LNG); (ii) the rehabilitation and transition of the existing 465 MW Deir Ammar I combined-cycle power plant to operate on natural gas, including its transfer to a private operator; and (iii) the development of a greenfield Deir Ammar II combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) plant, of approximately 500 MW. To support the Project, IFC intends to retain a Technical Consulting Firm (the Consultant) with extensive experience in LNG and gas-to-power infrastructure PPP, that will work jointly with the legal and environmental and social (E&S) consultants retained by IFC. The Consultant will assist IFC in conducting technical due diligence, defining technical parameters, and supporting the transaction preparation and implementation process.
