Expression of Interest for Health Facility Renovation and WASH Improvements in Jubaland State of Somalia An international non-governmental organization (NGO), in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Health and Jubaland State of Somalia, is implementing a health sector support initiative to improve access to quality primary healthcare services. The NGO invites qualified construction firms registered in Somalia to express interest in renovation and minor construction works for selected public health facilities in Jubaland State of Somalia. Scope of Services The selected firms will undertake rehabilitation works, which may include but are not limited to: 1. Structural Rehabilitation · Repair or reinforcement of health facility structures (walls, foundations, roofing, ceilings) · Replacement of damaged doors, windows, floors, and ceilings · Rehabilitation of outpatient, maternity, emergency, and stabilization centers 1. WASH and Sanitation · Construction/rehabilitation of toilets and handwashing stations (with gender separation) · Installation of incinerators and medical waste disposal systems · Installation of rainwater harvesting or small-scale water supply systems 1. Electrical and Plumbing Works · Wiring and installation of solar/inverter-based systems for lighting and equipment · Installation of fans, sockets, and basic electrical outlets for cold chain use · Repair or installation of plumbing for water supply and drainage systems 1. Facility Functionality Enhancements · Construction or repair of boundary walls, ramps, waiting areas, or verandas · Shelters for triage and emergency service zones · Provision of basic fittings (curtains, examination tables, sinks) 1. Site Safety and Accessibility · Site cleanup and removal of construction debris · Construction of disability-friendly access points and signage · Ensuring child-safe and patient-safe facility standards All construction activities must adhere to Somali national infrastructure standards, and local Ministry of Health quality standards. Eligibility Criteria Interested companies must demonstrate: · Valid business registration and tax compliance in Somalia · At least three similar construction or rehabilitation projects within the last five years · Technical personnel including a civil engineer, site supervisor, and foreman · Demonstrated financial capacity to implement medium-scale projects · Familiarity with environmental and safety compliance in construction Tender Link : https://somalijobs.com/tenders
