Tenders are invited for Runway Extension, Asphalt Surfacing, New Terminal Building & Associated Works at Wewak Airport, East Sepik Province, Papua New Guinea [CW5] The Works comprise of the following: a) Repairs on Existing Pavement; b) Asphalt Surfacing; c) Runway Extension; d) Construction of New Terminal Building, Carparking & Associated Facilities; e) Supply & Installation of Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL); f) Other Associated Works Only eligible Bidders with the following key qualifications defined in the Bidding Document may participate in this Bidding: Soundness of financial position over the last three (3) years and its prospective long-term profitability; The Bidder must demonstrate that its financial resources, less its financial obligations for its current contract commitments, meet or exceed the total requirement for the Subject Contract of USD 2.44 million; Average Annual Construction Turnover: minimum of USD 19.49 Million per year within the last three (3) years; Construction experience and participation in at least one (1) contract within the last five (5) years with a value of at least USD 15.59 million that have been successfully or are substantially completed by the Bidder and that are similar in physical size, nature of works, complexity, methods, and technology; For the above or other contracts executed during the last five (5) years, a minimum construction experience in the following key activities: i) Production and Construction of Subbase and Basecourse Pavement intended for Aircraft use; ii) Production and Application of Bituminous Chip Sealing intended for Aircraft use; iii) Production and Application of Bituminous Asphalt Pavement intended for Aircraft use; iv) Design and or Installation of Airfield Ground Lighting Systems; v) Construction of Airport Terminal Building including design and installation of all associated Services for the Terminal Building (min. 2, 225 sq.m) and Facilities, Associated Facilities and Systems.
