Expression of Interest for Potential Partnership-Empowering Voices: Fostering Equality and Combating Discrimination in Rwanda Location: Kigali Deadline: Saturday, 19/07/2025 23:59 EMPOWERING VOICES: FOSTERING EQUALITY AND COMBATING DISCRIMINATION IN RWANDA PROJECT CALL FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (EOI) FOR POTENTIAL PARTNERSHIP Application deadline: July 19, 2025 Rwanda Bridges to Justice (RBJ) is a local non-governmental organization dedicated to protecting human rights by ensuring that people in Rwanda have access to justice and equal treatment under the law. As an affiliate of International Bridges to Justice (IBJ), RBJ is currently implementing a project funded by the European Union entitled "Empowering Voices: Fostering Equality and Combating Discrimination in Rwanda" in partnership with International Bridges to Justice (IBJ) and others. Our plan is to work with grassroots organizations to extend the intervention for our current project through this call for expression of interest. In Rwanda, the project implements several initiatives in partnership with other Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and in collaboration with public institutions. Through this model, these organizations become partners with RBJ, with the latter responsible for enabling the implementation or realization of activities that align with Rwandas anti-discrimination objectives while the former provides financial support to enable the actual implementation of the activities. We are seeking partnerships with Non-Government Organizations (Equality Advocates) that advocate for human rights and have strong connections to local communities in Rwanda. These organizations will play a crucial role in implementing their proposed activities that promote equality and combat discrimination in Rwanda. The selected partner(s) organisations should demonstrate the ability to influence positive change in alignment with national anti-discrimination goals or reforms. Projects proposed must align with at least one of the following Empowering Voices thematic priorities: Empowering Gender Equality Initiatives, Promoting Inclusive Governance and Diversity, Enhancing Peace and Security through Anti-Discrimination Efforts, and Advancing Justice and Anti-Discrimination. Out of the ten selected NGOs, each local implementing partner will receive between 5,000,000 RWF and 6,000,000 RWF towards the implementation of proposed activities. Financial support for the implementation of activities will be provided to the successful organization upon satisfactory evaluation and presentation of a work plan. As part of the program, the selected local implementing organization will provide a wealth of knowledge, experience, and understanding of the Rwandan context as well as their proximity to the impact groups, target populations, and opinion leaders.
