Tenders are invited for Project Management - Hiking Route Development Work in the Qadisha Valley (North Lebanon) Closing Date: Friday, 11. Jul 2025 Intervention Sector(s): Social & Cultural Development Remuneration range: > 6000 (USD) Duration of Contract: 4 months max The Sustainable Qadisha Programme aims to promote environmental sustainability, heritage preservation and responsible development in the Qadisha Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Lebanon. It focuses on protecting the natural and cultural resources of the valley while supporting local communities through ecological practices, sustainable tourism and infrastructure improvements. This project is based on partnerships between French and Lebanese institutions and organizations and the federations of municipalities of the Cazas, Bcharré and Zgharta. It promotes socio-economic development through the establishment of common governance at the level of the Qadisha Valley, thus facilitating the implementation of territorial development initiatives. The development of Qadishas destination brand will enhance its attractiveness, boost existing economic sectors and provide new training and employment opportunities, while enhancing and preserving its environment. On the Tourism side of the project, the objective is to promote the economic development of the territory through the federation of tourism stakeholders around the structuring of a destination brand. This includes the development and creation of hiking trails, with a view to preserving and enhancing the cultural and natural heritage of the Qadisha. The maintenance and creation of new jobs, in an improved living environment, is what is aimed at for the inhabitants of the territory; A rich and attractive destination, offering an original tourist experience. The project manager is expected to carry out the following activities: Co-management of the provisional budget allocated to the work in tandem with the Qadisha Sustainable team.
