Presentation of Terre des Hommes Terre des hommes (Tdh) is an independent, neutral and impartial Swiss organisation founded in 1960, dedicated to implementing significant and lasting changes in the lives of children and young people, especially those most exposed to risks. Tdh to their well-being and the effective implementation of their rights, as defined in the Convention on the Rights of the Child and other human rights instruments. To make a difference, Tdh focuses its efforts in the areas of maternal and child health; children and youth in migration and access to justice. Tdh encourages the active participation of children and young people in order to promote their empowerment. Tdh advocates for the respect of their rights and supports children and young people in expressing their needs and interests. The organization works in fragile contexts and conflict zones, as well as in more stable environments. Tdhs action is mainly aimed at children as well as staff of government bodies and civil society. Tdhs programmes are aimed more specifically at social and judicial actors, health personnel, teachers and all professionals working in the field of children. 2.Background The project, entitled childrights-mooc.ch, which is the subject of the service, consists of raising awareness and training all professionals working in the field of children in Switzerland, in the three language regions. This is an online training course that is offered by the Terre des hommes Foundation as a pioneering organization, particularly in Switzerland and internationally, in the field of awareness and training on childrens rights. Tdh is supported conceptually and in terms of scientific and pedagogical quality assurance by academic institutions. The implementation of the childrights-mooc.ch is based on close collaboration with the International Institute for the Rights of the Child (IDE) as well as a range of academic and civil society organizations. The childrights-mooc.ch is patronized by Philip D. Jaffé, a member of the Committee on the Rights of the Child, and Jean Zermatten, a former member and former chairperson of the Committee on the Rights of the Child. 3. Purpose of the service Each module of the online course offers expert-led video sequences that convey the key knowledge of each topic, as well as examples of good practices in Switzerland and abroad, as well as the essential documentation you need to know. The childrights-mooc.ch can be started at any time by learners and each module is subject to a knowledge check in the form of a quiz. Learners who have completed three of the six modules receive a certificate of participation and achievement. The objective of the delivery is to finalize Module 5 on Childrens Rights and Education and Module 6 on Childrens Rights and Access to Justice. Module 5: Childrens Rights and Education - educating children to fully enjoy their rights: Introduction to the module: 1. Introductory video (key learning outcomes) 2. Deliverables Module 5 Study programmes (11.5 days): Write the introduction to the module. (1 day) Write the conclusion of the module. (1 day) Write the introductions to sequences 5.1, 5.2, 5.3 and specify the learning outcomes, mention the names of the partners, make a link with the Swiss context for each of the introductions. (0.5 days) Write the conclusions of sequences 5.1, 5.2, 5.3. (0.5 days) Develop a quiz - knowledge test - between three and five questions for each of the three sequences. (0.5 days) Finalize eight units (write introductions, transitions, and conclusions). (4 days) Write three units (5.1.3., 5.2.1.2, and 5.2.2.3). (3 days) Develop a quiz - knowledge test - between two and three questions for each of the eleven units. (1 day) To complete the documentary resources of two units based on existing resources. Each unit should contain an average of between five and eight documents and web links. Videos (Module 5 includes 19 videos and an animated image with voice-over) (3 days): Watch and edit a video on frame.io. (0.1 days) View an animated image with voice-over. (0.1 days) Validate the work done by Think Pixels on the video and the animated image with voice-over. (0.1 days) Transmit the video and moving image to each partner for validation. (0.1 days) Receive the official approval of the two partners for the broadcasting of the video and the animated image with voice-over as part of the MOOC. (0.1 days) Upload all the videos (19) to sonix.ai and generate the transcripts. (0.5 days.) Review and correct French transcripts. (1.5 days) Upload the videos to YouTube. (0.5 days) Platform Open edX: Insert study programs, documentary resources and videos on Open edX. (3 days) Module 6 Study programmes (5 days): Finalize all units. Write Units 6.3.1 and 6.4.3. Videos (Module 6 consists of 16 videos) (6 days): View and edit 5 videos on frame.io[1]. Validate the work done by Think Pixels on each of the 5 videos. Forward the videos to each partner for validation. Receive the official approval from each of the partners for the distribution of each video within the framework of the MOOC. Upload the video to sonix.ai and generate the transcript. Review and correct the French transcript. Upload the video to YouTube. 5. Skills Very good knowledge of international and regional standards on childrens rights. Good knowledge of issues related to childrens rights in the field of education. Good knowledge of childrens rights issues in the area of access to justice. Very good command of the frame.io Platform. Excellent writing skills in French. Experience in developing educational content. Excellent knowledge of creating online courses on the Open edX Learning Management System (LMS). [1] Currently two videos are available on frame.io.
