Jun 2025 Intervention Sector(s): Water sanitation and hygiene Michel Daher Social Foundation (MDSF), established in 2014, is a Lebanese NGO dedicated to addressing the unique challenges faced by communities in Central Bekaa. MDSFs mission is rooted in providing support to help people overcome life challenges and to make a positive impact on the Bekaa community. Project Overview: The project aims to increase access to safe and reliable water services among communities in Zahle Caza, Lebanon, with a focus on improving capacities of the Bekaa Water Establishment (BWE) and enhancing water services for upstream and downstream communities of Jdita. The project includes technical and material capacity strengthening, community engagement, facilitation of allocation agreements, and activation of the regional water network. Scope of work Chlorination The chlorination system in the Jdita Water Station needs to be repaired and retrofitted. An overall treatment should be done for the system, including all the systems components. The following is the main scope of work. The system should be handed over fully functional. Chlorination system repairs: · Treatment of leaking in the chlorination system: replacement of all needed valves, elbows and adaptors. · Check and recalibrate chlorine dosing pumps periodically to ensure they are delivering the correct chlorine amounts. · Cleaning of all existing equipment (flow meter, switchover, chlorine injector, etc.) · Refilling of empty chlorine cylinders (x4 sets) for each chlorination station · Train the existing staff about how to use the refills and the systems components, as well as the safety procedures and measures that should be adopted when in contact with the chlorination system. · Repairs and installation fees should be included In addition, install split DX units for both rooms in order to keep its temperature under control and ease the process of chlorination, as well as raise its efficiency: · 12,000 BTU/h (x2) · Including 6 meters of copper (x2) · Including installation (x2) Tender Link : https://daleel-madani.org/civil-society-directory/michel-daher-social-foundation/calls/chlorination-system-repair
