Tenders Are Invited For Rehabilitation Of Small Earth Dam

Tenders are invited for Rehabilitation of Small Earth Dam in Mwanabwito Hamlet, Kikongo Ward - Kibaha District. The WWF Tanzania Country Office (WWF TCO) is implementing a project entitled Dar Es Salaam Water Security (DWS) funded by Anheuser Busch InBev (ABInBev)/Tanzania Breweries Limited (TBL) through WWF UK. The project is being implemented in the Ruvu Basin at Lower Ruvu and Coast Sub-catchments (specifically at Kizinga, Ruvu and Msimbazi Rivers). The aim of this project is to ensure water resources are sustainably managed for socio-economic development and environmental benefits (i.e. for People and Nature) and increase climate change resiliency. WWF TCO therefore invites eligible contractors registered in class IV and above to execute a work of rehabilitation of small earth Dam with a capacity to reserve up to 450,000,000 litres during the dry seasons, to support livelihood activities and improving biodiversity and increase in the riparian zone, the aim is to enhance the ongoing restoration and conservation initiatives for improving water quantity and quality in the Ruvu River for water security in Dar es Salaam city and its satellite towns.
