Jun 2025 Intervention Sector(s): Children & Youth Call for Expression of interest : Empowering Caregivers through the Be There Program Lebanon Introduction: War Child organizations around the world have come together to form the War Child Alliance, a vibrant international network united by a shared belief: that no child should ever be part of war. The first charities bearing the War Child name were founded in the UK in 1993 and in the Netherlands in 1995. Since then, both organizationsjoined more recently by new War Child entities in Germany, Sweden, and the US (where it is known as Children in Conflict)have worked closely together while running their own child support programs. In Lebanon, War Child is active across all governorates, currently working in over 20 locations, including the most vulnerable areas. Our psychosocial support, education, and protection programs serve Syrian and Palestinian refugees as well as host communities, with a strong focus on partnerships with local NGOs and grassroots organizations. War Child Alliance in Lebanon is pleased to announce an open Call for Expression of Interest under the Be There Supporting Caregivers and Communities for Resilience project, funded by the Nationale Postcode Lottery. This initiative aims to enhance the psychosocial well-being of caregivers and children affected by the Syrian crisis in Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan, with a current focus on expanding implementation in Lebanon. Project Background The Be There program is a community-based psychosocial intervention designed to reduce stress among caregivers, promote positive parenting, and improve childrens emotional well-being. Following its successful rollout in Lebanon and the region, War Child seeks to collaborate with local NGOs and CBOs operating in Beirut, South, and North Lebanon, particularly in high-need and neglected areas. Objectives of the Partnership Identify local organizations with the need and capacity to implement the Be There intervention. Strengthen local capacity through tailored training and ongoing technical support. Deliver structured psychosocial support sessions to caregivers affected by the Syrian crisis, with the goal of reducing stress and improving family well-being. What We Offer Full training for facilitators and technical staff. Access to War Childs Be There toolkit and Quality of Care application. Ongoing support and coaching from War Child experts. Collaborative opportunity to design and sustain community based psychosocial services. Eligibility Criteria Organization must meet the following criteria to be considered: Legally registered NGO or CBO in Lebanon. Proven experience in child protection, psychosocial support, or community-based programming. Presence in Beirut, South, and North Lebanon with active engagement in vulnerable communities. Commitment to safeguarding principles and quality programming standards.
