Prior Information Notice For Works For Complete Or Part Construction And Civil Engineering Work – R232 Glenmore Bridge Widening And Road Realignment Scheme. Donegal County Council Proposes To Upgrade The Section Of The Existing R232 That Crosses Lough Ultan River At Glenmore Approx. 4.7Km West Of Pettigo. The Proposed Road Will Provide An Improved Alignment And Cross Section. The Project Will Include: A) A New Concrete Extension To The Existing Masonry Bridge Crossing The Lough Ultan River On The Realigned R232. B) The Realignment Of Approximately 0.7Km Of Road Infrastructure And Cross-Sectional Improvements. Works Will Include, But Are Not Limited To, The Following: - Earthworks Including Excavation And Filling And The Disposal Of Surplus Material; - Overhead Telecom Service Diversion; - Drainage Works; - Pavement Construction; - Works On And Adjacent To Live Carriageways Along A Narrow And Winding Alignment; - Works Adjacent To Woodland; - Works On And Adjacent To The Existing Watercourse, Including Temporary Diversion (Piping); - Works On And Adjacent To The Existing Bridge Structure, Including Partial Removal Of Wingwalls, Repair And Repointing To The Bridge Stonework; - Traffic Management Including Temporary Traffic Routing To Keep The Regional Road Open; - In-Situ Concrete Construction Of Bridge Extension Components; - Fabrication And Erection Of Precast Arch Bridge Elements; - Safety Barriers, Timber Post Fencing; - Tie-Ins To The Existing Road At Either End; - Tie-Ins With A Number Of Farm Accesses.
