Tenders are invited for Trainer for Marketing and Business Development for Agroecological Farmers Closing Date: Wednesday, 25. Jun 2025 Intervention Sector(s): Agriculture, Development Remuneration range: 1000 to 2000 (USD) Duration of Contract: 6 weeks BACKGROUND: Mada is seeking a qualified trainer to deliver five pre-developed training sessions on marketing and business development targeting agroecological women and small-scale farmers under the project entitled Strengthening the Resilience of Vulnerable Women, Young Adults, and Men in Lebanon through Livelihood Improvement and Increased Food Security funded by the German Cooperation (BMZ) and implemented by Mada Association in partnership with arche noVa. The project supports the transition to agroecology and improve access to food by strengthening the resilience of vulnerable women, young adults and men in Lebanon by improving livelihoods and increasing food security. The project aims to build a more resilient, economically stable, and food secure communities in the project regions by addressing livelihood and food security challenges through a comprehensive approach. The aim of the mission is to deliver a comprehensive pre-developed training sessions ns that focus on enhancing the marketing and business development skills of these farmers, supporting them in transforming their agroecological practices into viable businesses. The mission is expected to be participatory, with input gathered directly from farmers in close coordination with Mada. Main tasks and Responsibilities: Meet with Madas technical teams to discuss the missions objectives and expectations. Review and familiarize with the finalized pre-drafted training sessions. Draft a pre and post-test as evaluation process for the training outcome. Coordinate with Madas technical team to schedule and organize training sessions. The sessions will be delivered in Akkar (location to be determined at later stage). Deliver the 5 training sessions to assigned groups (each session up to 3 hours). Ensure training delivery is interactive, participatory, and adapted to the level and needs of the participants. Collect basic feedback from participants at the end of each training cycle. Submit a short completion report summarizing attendance, observations, and recommendations (if any). The language used in the training sessions must be simple, clear and culturally relevant, avoiding technical and complex content, to ensure it is easily understandable by farmers. Final deliverables: Delivery of the full 5-session training cycle to each assigned group. Participant attendance sheets per group. Pre and post-tests templates and results. Brief training report at the end of the assignment. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Agricultural Economics, or a related field. Previous experience delivering training in marketing, business development, or entrepreneurship. Knowledge of agroecological principles and small-scale farming is an asset. Strong facilitation skills and ability to engage participants with varied educational backgrounds. Previous experience working with youth, women, or rural communities. Fluency in Arabic; basic understanding of English is an asset. Knowledge of agroecology principles and the challenges/opportunities in marketing agroecological products. Eligible Applicants: The selection process will consist of two steps: a pre-selection based on technical experience and qualifications, followed by in-person or online interviews with the shortlisted candidates. Financial offer should include transportation fees to training venue in Akkar. Timeline: The consultant is expected to deliver the training sessions and submit the final report within six weeks of the training launching. The final version of the report, along with supporting documents, should be delivered within one week after receiving feedback on the draft.
