Tenders are invited for Developing Policy Briefs on Mainstreaming FLR within State and National-Level Policies. Publication Date: May 23, 2025 Deadline: Jun 25, 2025 Background: Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmBH (GIZ) - India is implementing a six- year project with the title Restore, Conserve and Protect Forest and Tree Cover for NDC Implementation in India (RECAP4NDC) under the Indo-German bilateral cooperation. The Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change (MoEFCC) Government of India is the Indian political partner. The projects intended impact is to support India achieve its targets on restoring degraded forests and landscapes inside and outside forests as defined in the National Forest Policy and the NDC thereby improving livelihoods of forest dependent communities and farmers. By 2029, RECAP4NDC aims at achieving ecological, socio-economic, governance, and climate change benefits in 0.4 million ha of the forest landscape. The Project intends to work in 4 states/regions: Uttarakhand, Delhi NCR (covering NCT Delhi, Haryanas and Rajasthans districts in NCR), Gujarat, and Maharashtra. Objective of assignment: The overall objective of this assignment is to develop policy briefs/policy documents that will help streamline/mainstream Forest Landscape Restoration (FLR) principles and concepts into existing/new policies and laws at the national, state and/or local governance levels.
