May 2025 Intervention Sector(s): Training & Capacity Building Remuneration range: > 6000 (USD) Duration of Contract: N/A Context & Background: About Berytech: Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Eco-system in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon. About Idealab and Partners Growth: The program aims to build the capacity of regional support organizations to better serve startups, especially in sectors like agritech and cleantech. One of the critical areas of improvement identified is the need to refine communication and outreach strategies to ensure visibility, stakeholder engagement, and ecosystem positioning. Scope of work The consultant/expert will: Conduct a rapid review of existing communication strategies and frameworks of each partner, as well as the program-wide communication plan. Identify gaps and areas of improvement in online and offline outreach for each organization. Facilitate 12 collective workshops with all five partners on shared challenges and needs (e.g., social media performance, media engagement, storytelling, stakeholder communication, etc.). Provide individualized support to each organization to refine their communication frameworks, action plans, and tools. Recommend specific tactics (tips and tricks) for increasing visibility, engagement, and clarity of communication. Support the development of templates and frameworks (e.g., outreach calendar, communication matrix, media engagement checklist). Provide ongoing coaching and guidance as the organizations implement recommendations. Contribute to strengthening the partners capacity to independently manage and evolve their communication strategies after the consultancy ends. expected deliverables The consultant will produce: A rapid assessment report per partner summarizing findings, challenges, and recommended focus areas. A minimum of one group workshop report and materials. A customized communication and outreach support plan for each partner. At least one shared framework or toolkit that can be adapted and used by all partners. Progress memos and recommendations shared with Berytech throughout the consultancy. A final summary report capturing the process, key improvements made, tools delivered, and recommendations for sustainability. Qualifications The consultant (individual or firm) should have: A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in communication, marketing, media, or outreach. Strong understanding of the NGO and entrepreneurship support ecosystem, preferably in Lebanon or the MENA region. Demonstrated experience in developing or refining communication strategies for nonprofits or BSOs. Fluency in English and Arabic. Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and facilitation skills.
