May 2025 Intervention Sector(s): Training & Capacity Building Remuneration range: > 6000 (USD) Duration of Contract: N/A Context & Background About Berytech: Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Eco-system in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon. About Idealab and Partners Growth: This program focuses on building the organizational and operational capacity of five regional business support and non-profit organizations. One of the critical areas identified by these partners is the need to diversify funding sources, improve fundraising strategy and operations, and ensure long-term sustainability through better donor relationships and resource mobilization. Scope of work The consultant/expert will: Conduct a rapid needs assessment with each partner to understand their fundraising capacities, current strategies, and challenges. Review existing strategies and frameworks (if any) and provide recommendations for improvement or development of new ones. Facilitate 12 joint capacity-building workshops for all partners on key fundraising themes such as donor mapping, proposal development, value proposition design, or funding diversification. Provide customized one-on-one support for each partner to develop or refine fundraising strategies, donor pipelines, and resource mobilization tools. Offer coaching and feedback on proposal outlines, donor communications, and budgeting approaches. Guide each organization in exploring sustainable funding models, such as incubator self-financing or hybrid income strategies, where relevant. expected deliverables Fundraising strategy document per organization (as needed) Customized donor mapping and funding opportunity pipelines Practical tools and templates for proposal writing, budgeting, and donor communication Reports on capacity-building sessions and coaching activities A final consultancy summary report highlighting outcomes, improvements, and recommendations Qualifications The consultant (individual or firm) should have: At least 10 years of experience in fundraising and resource mobilization, particularly in the NGO and entrepreneurial sectors Strong knowledge of institutional donors (local, regional, and international), grant-making processes, and sustainable funding models Experience delivering capacity-building for nonprofit or BSO teams Fluency in English and Arabic Excellent facilitation, coaching, and strategic planning skills Evaluation Criteria The applications will be reviewed and scored based on the following: 30% on financial proposal 60% on the technical proposal 10% on administrative ( clarity of proposal, all documents are presented ) How to apply To apply, please submit your proposal (technical and financial seperately), agenda of activities, along with your resume and work/ project portfolio by email to: [email protected] before May 30 , 2025, BoD with the subject: Funding and Fundraising Consultant Application- ActSmart The Application should include: Technical proposal describing the methodology, content of the mission Financial proposal describing the detailed costs incurred in preparing and providing the mission.
