The Diagnostic Center In Östergötland (Dc) Consists Of The Laboratory Operations At The Countys Three (3) Hospitals And Most Of The Countys Health Centers, Medical Radiation Physics (Msf) And The X -Ray Clinics At The Countys Three (3) Hospitals In Motala, Norrköping And Linköping. Clinical Pathology Is A Regional-Wide, Accredited Unit (Ss-En Iso 15189: 2022) Within The Diagnostic Center In Östergötland. In Addition To The Morphological Diagnosis, The Unit Is Also Responsible For Puncture And Autopsy And Mortgage Operations. In Clinical Pathology, Work Is Done In Subspecialized Teams, And Uses Both Established And Newer Diagnostic Methods As Well As Molecular Pathology. Digital Diagnostics Are Introduced For Histopathological Material And Is Available For Primary Diagnostics In Daily Operations Both Internally And For External Use. Clinical Pathology, Region Östergötland Serves All Of Östergötland And Receives Comparatives And Consultations From The Southeastern Healthcare Region. The University Hospital Also Has Agreements On Operations Outside The Region. In Order To Cope With Increasing Volumes With Maintained Security Of Supply, Clinical Pathology Needs To Supplement Its Own Resources With External Diagnostic Support.
