General Procurement Notice for Procurement of Goods and Services for Multinational Rice Resilient Value Chain Development Program (REWARD) - AfricaRice-led Regional Project The REWARD objectives are to increase rice self-sufficiency, reduce import bills, and create decent jobs, especially for women and youth, by fostering relevant business models and public & private investments in the Rice Value Chain, and supporting policy and governance reforms / harmonization in the ECOWAS region by 2030. This Regional project has the following components: Component 1: (Production & Productivity): Development of sustainable climateresilient rice production systems to ensure adequate production of quality rice paddy to supply millers. Sub-component 1.3: Regional technical support to foster production & productivity innovations in rice value chains. Component 2 (Processing & Marketing): Development of rice processing clusters, agribusiness and market links for trade facilitation. Sub-component 2.4: Regional technical support to foster processing and marketing innovations in rice value chains . Component 4: Program coordination and management. The Procurement of Goods and Services, financed by the Bank for the Project, will be carried out in accordance with the Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations dated October 2015 which is available on the Banks website at http://www.afdb.org and in line with the Procurement Plan presented in the Financing Agreement and published on the Banks website throughout the project.
