Tenders Are Invited For Investigation On The Use Of Satellite Data, And Other Sources, For Better Knowledge And Insights Of Environmentally Oriented Measures In Municipalities And County Municipalities
The Municipal Sector Organization (Ks) And The Norwegian Space Center (Nrs) Collaborate To Take A Closer Look At Whether Satellite Data And Satellite Data Services, In Combination With Other Sources, Can Be Used To Provide The Municipalities With Targeted Information For Better Decisions, In Selected Environmental Areas And In Need Of Knowledge In Crises. The Purpose Of The Collaboration Is To Assess How We Can Collect Satellite Data, Per Municipality, And Visualize Development Trends And Benchmarking In An Easily Accessible User Interface. This Will Contribute To Data -Driven Decision -Making, Increase Transparency And Improve Environmental Management Practices At The Municipal Level. In This R&D Assignment, The Purpose Is To Investigate The Possibility Of How Satellite Data And Satellite Data Services, And Other Sources Of Knowledge, Can Be Used To Improve The Knowledge Base In Municipal And County Municipal Planning And Monitoring, Not Least For Scaling And Use Ifm. Emergency Situations And Events. The Project Must Be Seen In Light Of The Municipal Sectors Roles, Tasks And Responsibilities In The Fields Of Emergency Preparedness, Environment, Plan And Social Development.
