The National Monuments Service Requires The Services Of A Photographic Digitiser With Digitising Experience, To Digitise The Analogue Photographic Material Held In The Photographic Archive. This Will Include Small, Medium And Large Format Negatives, Glass Plate Negatives, Transparencies, Slides And Other Material As Required. Over 500,000 Digital Negatives Are Held In The Nms Archive. Some Of These Will Require Scanning With A Flatbed Epson Scanner And Some Will Require Photographing The Material With A Full Frame Dslr Or Medium Format Dslr. This Work Will Require Museum Handling Of Materials As They Are Fragile, As Well As Working With Content Management Systems And Imaging Software. This Photographic Material Is Held In The National Monuments Service, At Custom House. Some Material Is Also Held Off-Site At The Cultural Resource Centre In Swords. While This Position Will Primarily Be Based In Custom House, The Successful Candidate May Be Required To Work In Swords From Time To Time. It Will Be The Responsibility Of The Person Appointed To Carry Out This Work Under The Supervision Of Nms Photographic Unit Personnel To Archive Standards.
