The Proposed Development Involves The Vertical Expansion Of The Existing Hospital Building At University Hospital Kerry (Uhk) To Accommodate A New 30-Bed Inpatient Ward. The Works Will Be Carried Out In Two Phases: Phase 1A And Phase 1B. Phase 1A Comprises A 7-Bed Inpatient Ward With A Gross Floor Area (Gfa) Of Approximately 894M². This Phase Will Also Include The External Thermal Envelope (Shell And Core) For Phase 1B And Is Scheduled For Completion By Q4 2025. Phase 1B Involves The Construction Of An Additional 23-Bed Inpatient Ward, With A Gfa Of Approximately 1,424M². Completion Is Targeted For Q2 2026. The Combined Gfa For The Full Development Is Approximately 2,320M². To Facilitate Construction, Existing Rooftop Plant Will Be Relocated To The Roof Of The New Ward. Enabling Works Are Scheduled To Commence In Q3 2025, Ahead Of The Main Contract Works.
