This Request For Proposals (The “Rfp”) Is An Invitation By The City Of Abbotsford (The “City”) To Prospective Proponents To Submit Proposals For The Engineering Services For Design, Tendering, And Construction Support For The Replacement Of The Lakemount Rd & Mcdermott Rd Bridge, As Further Described In Section A Of The Rfp Particulars (Appendix B) (The “Deliverables”). The Term Of The Contract Is Expected To Commence Immediately Following Contract Award In August 2025 And Ends In December 2027.During The November 2021 Atmospheric River Event (Dfa Event 2122-03), A Pre-Existing 27.5-Metre-Long Bridge Superstructure And Piers Were Washed Out Eliminating Access Between Lakemount Road And Mcdermott Road. While A Temporary Bridge Has Since Been Rented And Installed, A Permanent Solution Is Required At This Sumas River Crossing.
