Rockhampton Regional Council Seeks The Services Of A Suitably Qualified Building Certifier/Surveyor (Supplier) To Undertake The Building Certification Functions For Council When Requested. This May Range From Assessing Building Development Applications For Approval To Supplying A Certificate Of Classification For An Existing Building Development Approval. In Accordance With The Building Act 1975, Section 51, Council Must Act On A Building Development Application. When Council Resources Are Limited, Council Will Refer Applicants To Engage The Services Of A Private Certifier However, Where Requested By The Applicant, Council Will Accept And Lodge Building Development Applications, And Contract Out The Assessment Along With Certain Administrative And Certification Aspects To The Supplier In Accordance With This Contract. The Services Of The Supplier To Supply Certification Of All Building Classifications May Require Local Government Authorisation And Delegations.
