Tenders are invited for Professional Consultant to Assist with the Preparation of the Bill of Quantities (Boq), Bid Evaluation, Supplier Screening, and the Procurement and Installation of Solar Pumping Systems.. 2.2. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement effective procurement strategies for solar pumping systems and installation services, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and alignment with project objectives. Reviews the solar-powered irrigation system designs prepared by SSD and identify the key technical and operational inputs required for developing detailed specifications and bid documents. Conduct an in-depth analysis of the solar pumping components most suitable for the specific environmental and operational conditions of the Afar Region. Based on this analysis, engage with the client (SSD) to finalize and agree upon the most appropriate system components to be included in the upcoming procurement process. Prepare comprehensive bid and procurement document in accordance with the finalized specifications. Support the procurement process by participating in bid evaluation, shortlisting of qualified suppliers, identification of the winning bidder, and preparation of the contract agreement for signing. Identify, assess, and build strong relationships with qualified suppliers and vendors, ensuring alignment with technical and commercial requirements. In coordination with the client (SSD), verify and confirm that the delivered solar pumping equipment and associated components comply fully with the approved specifications and quality standards. Oversee and ensure proper installation of the solar-powered pumping system in accordance with the design, maintain active on-site engagement to monitor, inspect, and ensure the quality and completeness of the installation process. Track and evaluate supplier performance, highlighting areas for improvement and proactively addressing potential risks..
