The Pond Includes A 23-Foot-Deep Wet Well Equipped With Three 150-Hp Pumps, Each Capable Ofdelivering Approximately 2,500 Gpm, Although Only One Pump Is Typically Operated Under Normal Conditions.Following The Failure, Pcws Installed Temporary Piping And Pumping To Bypass Pond #2 And Maintain Landapplication Operations.Pcws Requests Bids From Qualified Contractors To Remove Approximately 3 Feet Of Solids Remaining In Theapproximately 4.8-Acre Pond #2 To Facilitate A Comprehensive Assessment Of The Liner And Underlying Soils.The Scope Of Work Includes:· Dredging: Complete Removal Of Solids To Ensure No Material Remains On The Pond Bottom.· Dewatering: Process Solids To Meet Receiving Landfill Requirements (Typically 13-15% Solids).· Disposal: Transport And Dispose Of Dewatered Sludge At Landfill Selected By Contractor.Contractors Are Responsible For The Handling And Disposal Of Solids Once They Leave The Wwtp Site.
