Urban Planning And Landscape Architectural Services-Support For Design Integrated Area Vision Zeeuws-Wase Forests (Resilient Borders). Forests And Green Zones Have Been Under Pressure In Recent Years, Both At The Level Of Quality And Quantity. These Zones, Often Organically Grown Or Laid, Are Omnipresent In The Flemish-Dutch Border Region And Often Exceed The Territory Of One Of These Areas. The Limit Does Not Exist For The Natural Development Of These Areas. This Is In Ferm Contrast With The Applicable Rules, Management Interests And Spatial Destinations, Which Are Fragmented. On The Border Between East Zeeland Flanders (The Netherlands) And The Waasland (Belgium) There Is A Large Forest Area That We Name As The Zeeuws-Wase Forests. The Zeeuws-Wase Forests In Particular Include The Poaching Forest And The Bekafbos On The Belgian Side And The Waterwinbossen (Forests Of Clinge, Zoetevaart, Sint-Jansteen And Wildelanden (Heikant)) On The Dutch Side, Together Good For Around 1,000 Ha. It Is A Varied Landscape, Consisting Of Open Grassland, Foliage And Pine Forests, Heaths, Roughs Along Watercourses Alternately With Agricultural Land And Two Crossing Roads: The E34 And N403. This Region Is Referred To On The Flemish Side As The Green Lung Of The Waasland. On The Zeeland Side, This Area In The North-East Of Zeeuws-Vlaanderen Is A Unique Piece Of Forest That Connects To The Forest Area Of The Waasland. Historical Choices And Climate Warming Put The Zeeuws-Wase Forestry Belt Under Pressure. Moreover, The Zeeuws-Wase Forests Are Notolated Unit On A Larger Scale In The Waas-Zeeland Border Region With The Presence Of Other Green Zones Towards Axel (Nl), Wachtebeke (Be) And Sint-Niklaas (Be). To Optimize The Natural Value Of The Zeeuws-Wase Forests, It Is Therefore Necessary To Search For Connections With These Zones With An Eye To An Ecologically Connected Whole Where Different Cores Can Reinforce Each Other. The Zeeuws-Wase Bossen Project Has The Intention To Tackle A Number Of Strategic Activities And Investments In The Border Region Sustainably In Both The Short And Long Term. This Assignment Is To Expose These Opportunities In Collaboration With Local Stakeholders, To Translate Them Into An Area Dna Into A Visualizing And Recruiting Document, As Well As To Situate And Integrate This Green Cluster Into The Larger Green Network On The Flemish-Dutch Border In Order To Safeguard An Integrated And Resilient Development Of This Area In The Long Term.
