Among The Purposes Entrusted To The Womens Institute Is The Promotion Of The Conditions That Allow The Social Equality Of Both Sexes As Well As The Prevention And Elimination Of All Kinds Of Discrimination Of People Due To Sex, In Accordance With The Second And Third Articles Of Law 16/1983, Of October 24, Of The Creation Of The Autonomous Organization Of Women Assistance So That, Where Appropriate, They Process Their Claims For Discrimination. This Complies With The Twenty -Seventh Additional Provision Of Organic Law 3/2007, Of March 22, For The Effective Equality Of Women And Men, Which Incorporates The Directive In Matters Of Equal Treatment 2002/73/Ec, Of Directive Of Directive 76/207/Cee, Relative To The Application Of The Principle Of Equal Treatment Between Men And Women, (Current Directive 2006/54), Which Added A New Article To The Law To The Law 16/83, Of October 24, Of The Creation Of The Womens Institute, Currently Third Article, Which Entrusts The Institute, Among Other Functions, The Provision Of Assistance To Victims Of Discrimination To Process Their Claims For Discrimination. Along The Same Lines, Law 15/2022, Of July 12, Integral For Equal Treatment And Non -Discrimination, In Its Article 53 Establishes The Obligation Of Public Authorities To Guarantee The Information To The Victims, Through Telematic And Face -To -Face Services, To Carry Out Comprehensive And Multidisciplinary Attention, To The Victims Of Discriminatory Behaviors By Any Of The Causes Provided In The Law, Between Which The Discrimination Is Found Sex Reason. Likewise, For The Fulfillment Of These Purposes, According To The Third Article Of Its Creation Law Cited, The Womens Institute Will Develop, Within The Scope Of The States Powers, The Functions Of Promoting The Measures Aimed At The Assistance And Protection Of The Victims Of Discrimination Due To Gender And Formulating Initiatives And Information Activities, As Well As Ensuring The Image Of Women In Advertising And Attending To The Concrete Complaints In This Field. The Free Service For Attention And Information About Their Rights To Women And Victims Of Discrimination Due To Sex, Currently In Operation, Has A Great Social Demand, Since During 2022 3,621 Telephone Calls (Including Incoming Calls, Voicemail And Telesor) And 917 Online Consultations Have Been Received, For 2023 4,166 Telephone Calls (Including Incoming Calls, Voicemail And Teles 800 Online Consultations, And For 2024 5,120 Phone Calls Have Been Received (Including Incoming Calls, Voicemail And Telesor) And 913 Online Consultations.
