Expression of Interest for Consultancy Services for Provision of Business Development Service to Incubatees at the University of Juba Incubation Center Entrepreneurship and Innovation Development for Fragility Reduction (EIDFR). Expressions of interest shall be submitted to the address below through email ONLY by 23 May 2025, at 12:00hrs (GMT+3). The subject line should be marked Consultancy Services for Provision of Business Development Service to Incubatees at the University of Juba Incubation Center LOT 1-Business Advisory Consultant: a) Refinement of Business Model Canvas (BMC) and Market Value Proposition Facilitate interactive sessions to revise and strengthen each incubatees BMC. Support incubatees to articulate clear and differentiated market value propositions. Support incubatees to refine customer segments, key activities, revenue streams, and cost structures. b) Finance Basics and Business Planning Train incubatees on fundamental financial principles, including cash flow management, break-even analysis, and budgeting. Support incubatees to develop basic financial projections and business plans aligned with growth objectives. c) Investment Readiness Guide incubatees in preparing compelling business profiles. Guide incubatees on investor pitching and pitching etiquette. Organize mock pitching sessions targeting the seed fund award of USD 10,000 per project, providing feedback to improve presentation quality and clarity. d) Legal and Regulatory Compliance Facilitate awareness sessions on the legal requirements for business registration, taxation, IP protection, and other regulatory obligations. Support incubatees in preparing required documentation and connecting with relevant legal service providers if necessary. e) Monitoring, Reporting, and Follow-Up Track progress against individual support plans and submit periodic updates Provide final report summarizing support delivered, outcomes achieved, and recommendations for future support. LOT 2-Product Design & Development Consultant: a) Product Development and Prototyping Provide technical guidance to incubatees on turning ideas into viable prototypes or minimum viable products (MVPs) e.g. soap, processed honey, fruit juice, etc. Assist incubatees in validating prototypes with potential users or customers. b) Monitoring, Reporting, and Follow-Up Track progress against individual support plans and submit periodic updates Provide final report summarizing support delivered, outcomes achieved, and recommendations for future support. 4. The IGAD Centre for Pastoral Areas and Livestock Development (CPALD) therefore, invites qualified Individual Consultants to express their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating their suitability to perform the services (General qualification, relevant experience and familiarity with the language and conditions of Juba, as well as their local presence. Qualification requirements are as follows: LOT1-Business Advisory Consultant: a) A masters degree in business, management, marketing, economics, international trade, finance or a related field. b) At least 5 years of relevant experience in providing Business Development Support, especially to entrepreneurs at the idea and medium growth stage. c) Knowledge of challenges faced by youth-led start-ups in fragile contexts. d) Demonstrated ability to deliver BDS for up to 30 individual entrepreneurs. e) Local presence and knowledge of the South Sudan business environment. LOT 2-Product Design & Development Consultant: a) A bachelors degree in food science/technology, production engineering or a related field b) At least 5 years of experience in providing technical assistance to entrepreneurs in processing food products, soap and detergents, etc. c) Experience in turning ideas into viable prototypes or Minimum Viable Products for early adoption by the market. d) Knowledge of challenges faced by youth-led start-ups in fragile contexts. e) Local presence and knowledge of the South Sudan business environment.
