Work Detail

Tenders are invited for Trainer to Commence Capacity Building for CBOS Representatives . Established in 1981, the Palestinian Working Woman Society for Development (PWWSD) is a non-governmental, developmental, and feminist human rights organization that contributes to advancing the feminist struggle within national, social, and developmental dimensions. PWWSD believes that the liberation of women is inherently linked to ending the Israeli occupation and establishing a full, democratic, and sovereign Palestinian civil state. The organization operates throughout the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip, and is an active member of several local, regional, and global networks and coalitions. PWWSD envisions a free and democratic Palestinian society based on gender equality, respect for human rights, and social justice. It promotes womens empowerment, participation in the national struggle against the occupation, contribution to development processes, entitlement to political, economic, and civic rights, access to justice, and the right to a life free from violence. About the Project: The Palestinian Working Woman Society for Development (PWWSD), in partnership with UNICEF, has launched the project Enhancing the Well-Being of Adolescent Girls in Hot Spot Areas in the West Bank. The project aims to empower adolescent girls living in vulnerable areas across the northern governorates of the West Bank Nablus, Jenin, Tulkarem, and Tubas. In each governorate, four localities are targeted, working closely with a local CBO (Community-Based Organization) in each locality, for a total of 16 CBOs across the project. In every locality, two groups of adolescent girls (each group consisting of 20 participants) will be formed and supported. The project activities include: Conducting needs assessments. Capacity building for the representatives of partnered CBOs. Capacity building for adolescent girls. Conducting raising awareness sessions and recreational activities every three months for each group. Supporting the design and implementation of local initiatives led by the adolescent girls themselves. Distributing hygiene and care packages to adolescents every three months.
