Call for Applications: Socio-Economic Analyst Intern Closing Date: Friday, 23. May 2025 Intervention Sector(s): Refugees, Social & Cultural Development About LPDC The Lebanese Palestinian Dialogue Committee (LPDC) is an inter-ministerial governmental body established by the Lebanese Council of Ministers to coordinate the States policies related to Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. LPDC works to improve living conditions in Palestinian camps and gatherings, foster dialogue between Lebanese and Palestinian stakeholders, and advance policy reforms that are rights-based and consistent with national sovereignty and international law. Post description Review and summarize socio-economic studies and technical reports submitted by UN agencies, NGOs, and other implementing partners. Assist in the drafting of policy briefs, background papers, and research summaries related to refugee socio-economic issues. Support LPDCs engagement activities with refugee communities, particularly in camps and informal gatherings. Support internal tracking of partner submissions. Help maintain knowledge management systems and databases of socio-economic indicators and reports. Needed Profile and Qualifications Mid or Final-year student or recent graduate in economics, public policy, development studies, or a related social science field. Strong analytical, research, and summarization skills, with the ability to translate technical content into concise findings. Background or interest in refugee affairs, particularly relating to Palestinian communities, and a commitment to engaging with vulnerable populations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and contribute proactively to team efforts.
