Tenders are invited for Permaculture and Sustainable Agriculture Training Expert Closing Date: Sunday, 18. May 2025 Intervention Sector(s): Agriculture, Development, Training & Capacity Building Remuneration range: 1000 to 2000 (USD) Duration of Contract: 1 month Objective The project aims to enhance agricultural sustainability in vulnerable communities using permaculture for climate resilience. It involves young people, runs community awareness campaigns, and utilizes permaculture techniques for effective water management. Additionally, it engages local stakeholders to tailor project technologies to their specific needs and conducts educational programs about climate change and sustainable farming. Training Topics The below topics should be developed following Permaculture, Climate Change, and Sustainable Agriculture criteria however they are subject to change according to needs assessment and curriculum development results. Sustainable Agriculture Principles Climate-Smart Agriculture Application of Data and Technology in Agriculture Outcomes The following outcomes are what the activity aims to achieve within the above-mentioned topics for the required training sessions: 5 sessions, 3 topics (1 groups of 8 FTL staff) The exact location is to be determined later on. The training topics will be confirmed following the needs assessment. Deliverables Conduct a total of 5 training sessions on the listed topics above. Assess and analyse beneficiary performance and topic understanding through relevant Pre and Post tests. Submit timely pre and post training reports for each training given. Submit training and activity report. Qualifications Higher university degree in agriculture, social sciences, statistics, or any relevant field Minimum 5 years of experience as a consultant Experience using data analysis tools and software such as KOBO, SPSS, and others Extensive experience interacting with and relating to gender professionals and international stakeholders at senior level Able to synthesize large data sets to reach conclusions and strategic recommendations Proven knowledge of Fair-Trade principles In-depth knowledge of the Lebanese context Proven presentation skills Drives results Skills Adheres to FTL values Good interpersonal communication skills Engaged in developing self and others High degree of self-motivation Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills Good time management Organized and able to create multiple timelines and schedules Good knowledge of Arabic and English The consultant should submit a portfolio of previous projects, in addition to a short concept note related to the abovementioned intervention with a budget. The detailed workplan will be developed and agreed upon in coordination with FTL team.
