Overview Of The Work/Service Requiredthe Works May Include The Maintenance, Upgrade And/Or Deactivation Of Forest Service Roads And Structures. Activities Generally Involve, But Are Not Limited To: Ditching, Brushing, Culvert Replacement, Slump Removal, Slope Stabilization, Grading, Avalanche Removal And Bridge Repairs. Works Will Be Assigned On An “As Needed” Basis Through A Priority Driven Process Throughout The Field Season.The Majority Of Work Is Expected To Be Excavator With Either Dump Truck Or Swamper, However, The Contractor Must Be Able To Supply All Of The Following Equipment (Or Equivalent) Or Services, At A Minimum:• Equipment For Mobilization/Demobilization (I.E. Lowbed / Trailer)• 46,000 – 54,999 Lbs (125-150 Hp) Class 2 Forestry Excavator• Minimum Of A 10 Cubic Yard Tandem Axle Dump Truck W Tandem Trailer• Minimum Of A 170-199 Fwhp Grader• Minimum Of A 70 – 79.9 Fwhp Rubber-Tired Backhoe/Loader• Minimum Of 130 Fwhp Class Crawler Tractor D5 Size• Labourer (Swamper)All Of The Above-Mentioned Equipment Will Be Paid At An Hourly Rate. Subcontracting Of Equipment Is Permitted Subject To The Prior Written Approval Of The Contract Office.The Contractor Will Be Responsible For The Delivery Of Materials To And From The Worksite.Contractor Will Be Responsible For All Costs Associated With Crew Travel To And From The Work Site Up To One Hour Each Way. Travel Exceeding One Hour Each Way Will Be Compensated At The Tendered Rate.Work May Be Discontinuous And There Is No Guaranteed Minimum. Ministry Of Forests Reserves The Right To Contract Out Maintenance Work Outside Of This Agreement.
