Fleet Electrification Study . Halifax Water Is Actively Involved In Halifact, One Of The Most Ambitious Climate Action Movements In Canada. Halifact Is Halifaxs Community Response To The Climate Crisis, Aiming To Build A More Resilient And Healthy Future In Atlantic Canada While Preparing For Current And Future Climate Impacts. The Plan, Adopted By Halifax Regional Council In 2020, Includes Actions Such As Retrofitting Buildings, Expanding Transit, Protecting Infrastructure From Flooding, And Dramatically Cutting Emissions. Halifax Water Is Soliciting Proposals For A Fleet Electrification Study. The Fleet Electrification Study Aims To Develop A Proposed Framework To Consider The Transition Of Halifax Waters Fleet Of Light, Medium, And Heavy-Duty Vehicles To Electric Vehicles, Including An Assessment Of The Required Charging Infrastructure And Financial Implications. This Initiative Is Part Of Halifax Waters Commitment To Reducing Our Environmental Footprint And Aligning With The Broader Goals Of Halifact And Our Climate Action Plan. This Fleet Electrification Study Represents A Critical Step Towards Halifax Waters Commitment To Sustainability And Environmental Stewardship And Has The Potential To Reduce Halifax Water’S Carbon Footprint While Also Setting A Precedent For Other Utilities And Organizations In The Region
