Children’S Health Ireland (Chi) Comprises The Following: Chi At Crumlin, National Children’S Hospital At Tallaght, And Chi At Temple Street Plus Two Urgent Care And Outpatient Facilities At Connolly And Tallaght Hospitals. 1.3 The Central Decontamination Unit (Cdu) Is A Department Within The Hospital That Performs Reprocessing On Reusable Invasive Medical Devices (Rimd’S) And Other Equipment In The Form Of Washing, Disinfecting, Sterilisation, And Other Actions For Subsequent Use By Health Workers In The Operating Theatres And Elsewhere Throughout The Hospital. The New Facility Provides An Increase In Cdu Capacity And, Additional, More Efficient Workflows, Turnaround Times And Equipment Is Required To Meet The Additional Surgical Activity Planned For The Nch While Caring For The Environment And Being Economical.
