The services provided under this contract include, overall, the development of ten (10) Communal Climate Change Adaptation Plans (CC) for the Communes located in the Sub-Basin, which will serve to integrate climate change into communal planning. The aim will be to support the communes in their efforts to identify appropriate climate change adaptation measures and to integrate communal planning into the national process. This should make it possible to provide rural communes in the PIDACC/BN Mali intervention area with an economic, social and cultural development plan (PDESC) taking into account adaptation measures, thus making populations and ecosystems more resilient to the effects of climate change. This will involve: Analyze the process of updating existing PDESCs to identify the anchor points allowing for the consideration of adaptation to the negative impacts of CC with the climate proofing (CP) tool; Develop a methodological approach adapted to the local context for the integration of the concept of adaptation to CC in the PDESC in the municipalities concerned; Capitalize on the results and lessons learned from this methodological approach with the technical departments and other actors involved in municipal planning, in order to promote the integration of the CC issue into the national approach and; Develop instruments for implementing the Climate Change Adaptation Plan at the municipal level.
