Expression of Interest for Technical Supervision Services for the Works for the "Expansion/Modernization of the Existing Giurgiulesti Customs Control Area". The project titled Rural Connectivity in Moldova aims to develop road and customs infrastructure at the Leueni-Albia and Giurgiulesti-Galai border crossing points. This is part of Component B of the project, focusing on improving the capacity and functionality of these Border Crossing Points between Moldova and Romania. The Customs Service of the Republic of Moldova, in collaboration with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, and other national bodies, intends to improve the existing Giurgiulesti Customs Control Zone through expansion and modernization. The consultancy services entail providing technical supervision and ensuring efficient contract management, adherence to social and environmental safeguards, and application of best practices as per national and World Bank standards.
