Closing Date: 2 May 2025 Type: Consultancy Organization 3IS is an international non-profit organization whose function is to provide information management services to humanitarian and development organizations, enabling partners to make informed decisions that ultimately deliver high-quality, targeted assistance to the worlds most vulnerable populations. 3IS transforms data into information and creates knowledge for decision-makers operating in conflict, disaster, post-disaster and recovery environments, as well as other complex emergency situations and development contexts. Context The main objective of this project is to strengthen coordination among humanitarian actors through the analysis, evaluation, and provision of synergistic information management services. Through this initiative, information sharing among humanitarian actors will be promoted to improve decision-making and optimize response capacity. EVIDEM organizations will share their experiences, knowledge, and lessons learned to achieve this goal. The proposed activities, along with the expertise of each organization in the consortium, not only complement each other but also align with Flagship Initiative 1, establishing a collective coordination structure for information management at the service of humanitarian organizations. This will facilitate a people-centered approach, ensuring that their priorities, needs, and capacities are at the heart of all actions. Leveraging its expertise in humanitarian coordination mechanisms and capacity building in information management, 3iS seeks to strengthen and empower humanitarian partners, enabling them to leverage and optimize tools, technologies, platforms, and best practices in information management to respond more effectively to humanitarian crises. Description of Services The individual providing these services will be responsible for the design, analysis, and presentation of information management products to support strategic decision-making in the humanitarian field. Their main responsibilities include organizing data collection, processing, and analysis, ensuring that the information products are accurate, accessible, and understandable for both general and specialized audiences. Additionally, the professional must interact with various sectors and humanitarian organizations at the local and national levels, ensuring an adequate flow of information and developing innovative methodologies to improve the quality and impact of the analyses. Activities Planning and Coordination Develop the work plan, in agreement with the National Coordinator for Venezuela. The final list of deliverables will be created based on this plan and in accordance with the needs established by the various local and national humanitarian organizations. Possible products include the preparation of infographics, dashboards, presentations, newsletters, and/or information systems, created jointly with the 3iSolution team. Participate in meetings to which they are summoned and take minutes. Liaise between humanitarian partners, at the local and national levels, and international organizations to facilitate data exchange and ensure consistency in information management. Participate in 3iSolution cross-team meetings and knowledge management sessions organized for this purpose. Attend in-person meetings when required. Conduct field missions when required. Data Collection, Processing, and Analysis Compile, refine, process, and analyze information from existing databases or those specifically created at the request of the coordinator. Identify and manage information exchange flows with key stakeholders. Apply innovative methodologies, including artificial intelligence and data mining, to improve information analysis and visualization processes. Develop and update databases for continuous monitoring of the humanitarian response. Develop and Present Information Products Design reports, reports, and visual products to facilitate data interpretation. Prepare analyses of humanitarian needs, response monitoring, and the operational capacity of the organizations involved. Generate information products related to established requirements.
