Expression of Interest are invited for Decarbonization Study for Existing Methanol/Ammonia Plants Description: This study aims to fill that gap by developing a conceptual plan for SMR to ATR conversion, analyzing the economics at different plant scales and ages, and identifying specific facilities that may be prime candidates for retrofitting. The results will provide valuable guidance to methanol and ammonia producers, technology providers, and policymakers as these industries navigate the transition to lower-carbon production methods.Evaluate the conversion of existing SMR-based methanol and/or ammonia plants (potentially applicable to hydrogen plants as well) to achieve lower carbon emissions by integrating an additional POx/ATR system. The project will involve developing CAPEX and OPEX estimates per ton of product for three different sizes of SMR.
