Tenders are invited for Supply & Commissioning of Portable Distributed Acoustic Sensing Monitoring System Tender Type: Public Tender Tender Description: The bidder shall propose Distributed Acoustic Sensing System, DAS, for the continuous monitoring of cable activities using Single mode fiber optic cable G.652D type. Each fiber is designed to operate for dual windows of nominal wavelength of both 1310 nm and 1550nm. The fibers shall be optimized for the operation within 1310 nm single window. The purpose is to quickly pinpoint the exact cable fault location if any vibration happens and asses any external sources of danger to the cable system such as excavation. The tender shall cover the design, manufacture, testing, supply, delivery and site training. The DAS shall be designed to follow FO cable service life of not less than 40 years, observing cable internal activities such as acoustic signal generated from thumping voltage for pinpointing external. The system should measure the acoustic vibrations on the fiber based on the principles of Coherent Optical Time Domain Reflectometry. The proposed system shall meet the specifications.
