Expression of Interest for Appointment of a Panel for the Provision of Legal Services to the Attorney Generals Chambers and the Directorate of Public Prosecutions for a Period of 24 Months The Department is embarking on a process to identify a limited number of 100% citizen- owned external firms of attomeys/advocate(s) to appoint to its panel to provide ad hoc specialised services for 24 months, as and when the need arises. Firms of attorneys are invited to send expressions of interest to Attorney Generals Chambers (AGC) for consideration to render legal services to AGC in one or more of the following areas of law: a) Constitutional Law and Human Rights; b) Civil Litigation: preferably in construction law, medico-legal, labour and employment, public procurement, commercial and intellectual property; c) Criminal Prosecution: preferably in emerging offences such as money laundering, Terrorist Financing and Proliferation of Arms and Related Offences, Gender-Based Violence and financial crimes, racketeering, corruption, human trafficking, and smuggling of persons; d) Drafting and negotiation of International Contracts/Agreements/Treaties as well as commercial project transactions in various sectors; e) International Law, International Trade and Investment Law; f) Alternative Dispute Resolution, i.e., Mediation and Arbitration g) Debt/Legal Costs Collection; h) Provision of legal advisory services on any of the above areas of the law; and i) Any other field of law in which the firm or chambers have expertise that is relevant to the business of the Attorney Generals Chambers and/or the legal needs of the Government of Botswana.
