The National Society Of Luxembourg Railways (Sncfl) Provides For The Construction Of A Museum Called The National Center For Rail Heritage (Cnpf) Within The Commune Of Pétange, On A Non-Urbanized Land Of Around 14,500 M2 In The Southwest Of The Existing Railway Station. The Project Is Part Of The 1900 Train Line Which Connects The Pétange Station With The Fond-De-Gras Site As Well As To The Other Attractions Present On This Railway Inheritance Site. As Part Of This Project, It Is Planned To Arrange On This Site: - A Reinforced Concrete Building Building Including The Museum Entrance/Exit Fireplace, Offices, Changing Rooms And Health, An Auditorium; - A Maintenance Workshop For Historic Rail Equipment; - A Metal/Glass Structure Exhibition Hall For Rail Equipment And Temporary Exhibitions. In This Hall There Will Be A Reinforced Concrete Didactic Exhibition And A Replica Of An Old Traveler Building From An Existing Historical Facade In Order To Create A Catering And Kitchen Space; - Retaining Walls To Recover The Drop - A Metal Gateway To Connect The Buildings Between Them; - Railways Allowing The Exposure Of The Equipment And The Connection Of The Site To The Existing Rail Infrastructure; - Various External Arrangements (Paving, Etc.)
