Apr 2025 Intervention Sector(s): Communications & Media Remuneration range: < 1000 (USD) Duration of Contract: 1 Month Background The Alawite Islamic Charity Association (AICA), a registered Lebanese NGO and faith-based organization, implements humanitarian and development interventions aligned with the 17 SDGs, using integrated, transparent, and technology-driven systems. As part of its digital transformation and service expansion, AICA utilizes Odoo ERP and has established a multi-company database. AICA seeks to activate and customize the Odoo eCommerce module to serve three separate entities under its umbrella, ensuring a user-friendly online presence for each entity, consistent with its mission of service excellence and stakeholder trust. Objective To implement and configure a multi-company eCommerce setup in Odoo, enabling each AICA-affiliated entity to operate an independent online shop, with distinct branding, catalogues, and order fulfillment processes, all while remaining integrated within the centralized ERP system. Scope of Work / Deliverables 1. Analysis & Planning Review current Odoo multi-company configuration and database structure. Identify gaps in eCommerce readiness across the three entities. Provide a short technical proposal outlining needed customizations or module enhancements. 2. eCommerce Setup per Company Activate Odoo Website and eCommerce modules for each entity. Configure three separate websites (multi-domain/subdomain structure). Customize website themes to reflect each companys identity. Configure per-company: Product catalog Payment gateways Delivery/shipping rules Terms & Conditions Domain/subdomain mapping 3. Sales and Checkout Flow Enable customer registration, login, and cart per website. Implement secure checkout with company-specific logic. Configure sales order routing, pricing, and stock visibility per company. Ensure accurate tax and shipping cost calculation. 4. Backend ERP Configuration Align warehouses, taxes, shipping, and invoicing per company. Create email templates and auto-responses for order confirmation and customer communication. Set user roles and permissions to enforce visibility boundaries. 5. Testing & Quality Assurance Conduct full-cycle testing for browsing, checkout, payment, and order processing. Validate separation and integrity of sales data across companies. Fix issues and optimize the user journey. 6. Documentation & Handover Provide step-by-step documentation for all configurations. Deliver a brief training session or recorded tutorial for AICAs IT/Admin users. Required Skills & Qualifications Proven expertise in Odoo v17 or newer, particularly with Website & eCommerce modules. Demonstrated experience with multi-company setups. Strong Python/Odoo framework development experience (for customization needs). UI/UX capability to match front-end design with branding. Familiarity with ERP financial processes (sales, invoicing, inventory, tax). Timeline Project duration: 34 weeks from contract signing. Milestones to be delivered weekly with clear progress tracking. Reporting and Supervision The consultant will report to AICAs CEO. Weekly email reports or virtual meetings will be expected to review progress and address bottlenecks.
