Tenders Are Invited For Purchase Of Modular Aluminum Structures For Pre -Exhibitions

As Part Of The Opening Of The New Museum Of Modern And Contemporary Art In The Brussels Capital Region, The Kanal-Center Pompidou Foundation Is Looking For A Supplier For The Production Of Modular Aluminum Structures Which Will Serve As Frames For The Construction Of Removable And Reusable Partitions In Future Exhibition Spaces. In Response To Csr Strategies And Eco-Responsible Commitments That The Kanal Foundation Sets Up, The Production Teams Have Decided To Develop A Reusable System In The Scenography Of Temporary Average Duration Exhibitions, Which Regularly Require Adaptations Of The Partitions Dedicated To This Typology Of Artistic Programming Projects. In An Approach Of Eco-Design, Sustainability And Re-Use, The Choice Was Made To Acquire A System Of Modular Structures In Aluminum Profiles Of The Mechanic Type. This System Will Be Used To Develop Several Exhibition Projects When Opening And Will Be Used To Experiment With Its Modularity In The Context Of Upcoming Projects During The Programming Seasons. This Initiative Is Also Part Of A Policy Of Reducing Waste Related To Exposures And Responsible Purchasing, While Rethinking The Methods Of Production. The Objective Implemented Was To Design A Self -Supporting And Modular Partitioning System With Each Other To Adapt To The Different Typologies Of Successive Exhibitions In Defined Spaces Of The Kanal Foundation, And To Develop Their Re -Use From One Project To Another And Test The Variability Of The System With Different Variations In The Scenographic Arrangements Of The Exhibition Halls. The Challenge Will Be To Experiment With This Structural System At The Opening Of Kanal In The Fall Of 2026 So That Modularity, Stability And Sustainability Can Prove Them While Respecting Qualitative And Aesthetic Issues Throughout The Programming Of Exhibitions, And By Absorbing The Investment Of This Profiled System On The First Years Of The Foundation.
