Expression of Interest for Results-Based Financing (RBF) Programme in Liberia Which Addresses Supporting local MSMEs to Scale Access to Improved and Cleaner Charcoal and Firewood Cookstoves in Liberia. Objective: Supporting local MSMEs to scale access to improved and cleaner charcoal and firewood cookstoves in Liberia Subsidy model: GIZ will provide a USD 5.- (five United States Dollar) subsidy per stove sold after verification of results achieved. Stoves supported: Stoves must be locally produced or assembled, and fulfill the following requirements: o User group: Domestic / households o Fuel type: Firewood or charcoal ICS o Fuel efficiency: Fuel saving of min. 40% (for firewood stoves) measured by Controlled Cooking Test (CCT) Or fuel saving of min. 30% (for charcoal stoves) measured by CCT Or thermal efficiency of min. 20% - measured by Water Boiling Test (WBT) or ISO Lab test Certified by tests results / accredited testing institution. Company eligibility: o Fully registered Liberian companies o The company does claim carbon credits for its sales or utilizes a different carbon financing scheme. Duration: Companies may be contracted for a period starting 15th April 2025 to 30 October 2025 with a possibility of extension. Application: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Early applications are encouraged as the programme will award funds on a first-come, first-serve basis. Total subsidy volume: USD 55,000- Min. contract value: USD 7,500. The EOI is the first stage of a two-stage tender process. The objective of the EOI process is to identify and pre-register companies that are interested in entering into the proposed contract and have suitable capacity, capability and experience. Only shortlisted candidates, fulfilling the below requirements, will receive the full terms of reference (ToR) and will be asked to submit a full proposal. EOI must be submitted by email to LR_Quotation@giz.de and submitted no later than the 07 April 2025 at 5:00 PM GMT.
