Tenders Are Sought For The Use Of Remsoft And Cbm-Cfs Model For A Research Project. This Project Aims To Characterise The Future Greenhouse Gas (Ghg) Profile Of The Existing Peatland Forest Estate Under A Business-As-Usual Scenario And To Identify Management Options To Improve The Co2 Capture Potential Of The Peatland Forest Estate. The Ghg Modeling Outputs From The Analysis Should Be Consistent With Existing Methods Used For Forest Service (Department Of Agriculture Food And The Marine) And National Ghg Reporting So That The Potential Impacts Of Project Outcomes Can Be Implemented At The National Scale And Projections Are Consistent With Currently Identified Climate Change Target Projections. This Would Require The Use Of Cbm-Cfs (Kurz Et Al., 2009), Which Has Been Set Up For Application To Irish Forestry. Remsoft Is Required To Do Spatial Optimization Of Management And Biodiversity Scenarios. Remsoft Outputs Are Then Translated Into The Cbm Model Which Derives Ghg Balances At The Landscape Scale.
