The City Of Pori Is Exploring The Possibility Of Building A Carbon Dioxide Terminal In The Port Tahkoluoto Area. The Aim Is To Create A Logistical Hub Where Carbon Dioxide Can Be Received, Storage And Further Processed, Which Would Serve Both The Needs Of Finnish Industry And To Support The Achievement Of Carbon Neutrality Goals. The Terminal Would Allow Co₂ To Be Transported By Ships, Rail And Trucks And Could Attract New Investments To Sustainable Energy Production And High -Value -Added Products. A Large-Scale Hydrogen Economy Is Already Planned For The Pori Area, The Supply Of Carbon Dioxide As A Raw Material For Carbon Dioxide By Means Of A Terminal. The Coordination Of The Ecosystem Program And The Development Project Of The Green Transition, Which Will Provide A Study On The Construction Of A Carbon Dioxide Terminal In Pori. The Measures Under The Pori Ecosystem Agreement Are Taken Through Eu Funding And Funding For The City Of Pori And Its Implementation Time Is 1.3.2024 -1.3.2027.
